I Am Worthy. And Holy. And Beloved. And Redeemed.

My dear friend,

I all too often hear us saying, with all too good intentions, that we are unworthy, that we are sinners, that we are broken and wretched.

And yes, my friend, that used to be who we are.

But not anymore.

Do you really think that’s who you still are?

Do you really think that’s what God thinks of you?

It may sound humble, and people say it with such good hearts.

Yet my friend, God doesn’t think you are unworthy.

God doesn’t see you as a sinner anymore.

God doesn’t consider you broken or wretched.

Sister, you have a new identity. In every sense of the word.

You used to be crimson, and broken, and wretched, and sinful, and unworthy.

God has raised us up and seated us with our sweet Jesus in His heavenly realms. Yet no sinners, none who are unworthy or broken or stained or wretched may sit with the Majesty on His heavenly throne.

So that must mean that we are not of that.

It must mean that we are holy as He is. It must mean we are blameless, pure white, and righteous. It must mean we are Beloved, that we are worthy and redeemed.

For only those of a fierce new nature may be rejoiced over in the presence of the King.

My dear sister, stand so firm in this truth. This is your very reality.

You are a new creation. Take that in: You are a new creation.

Be strong in your identity in Christ. No, you are not being prideful nor arrogant.

It is pure humility to accept the identity that the Holy has given you.

He says you are worthy. He says you are beautiful. He says you are holy and righteous. He says you are whole. He says that you are redeemed.

You are now holy as Christ Jesus is. You are now worthy of His love, of His presence, of His riches and Kingdom. You are now eternally loved, and nothing may separate you from that. You are now pure white, for your crimson was shed in the blood on the cross. You are now redeemed, and although it may not change the physical, oh my sweet sister, your soul is beautifully and altogether new.

You are no longer an orphan. You are no longer a slave. You are no longer a rebel or a lost, wandering soul.

You are His daughter. You are in His family. You are loved by Him. You are found; you are seen; you have a Home where you are accepted and rejoiced over.

You.

It’s your reality.

My sweet sister, I pray that we would take a bold stance in who we are.

You are who your God says you are.

And He says some pretty lovely and strong things.

Say it: I am worthy. I am holy. I am blameless and righteous. I am known and rejoiced over. I am a daughter and an heir and a child of the King. I am so dang loved. Now my sister, believe it. Preach it to your heart if you have to.

But know this, your new identity is unshakable and unchanging. It’s eternal and beautiful. It’s who you are; it’s who you were always meant to be.

It’s who you really, really are.

With much, much love. And a deep joy in knowing who I am. –Melissa
