Come, Jesus.

My heart yearns for Jesus to come.

But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved.

Romans 8:20-24

Waiting. Longing. Yearning. Groaning.

For that day. That glorious day.

When our sweet Jesus comes back.

When our sweet Jesus stablished his Kingdom fully.

When sin and evil is destroyed by Jesus, with flaming and passionate eyes of fire.

When God’s children are revealed. When we are brought back home. To where we belong.

When our new bodies are upon us, restored and healthy and light.

When we see God, face to face. Unveiled. Clearly.

When we look at Jesus. When we see the scars upon his hands. The scars that bore our name.

When we hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

When we look into the eyes of grace and love. The eyes that fully know us.

When every good thing is restored. When every good thing is more good. When it’sdeeper and fuller.

When love is deeper. When laughter is deeper. When joy is deeper.

When our hearts are full. And perfect.

When the wolf and the lamb will live together.

When the Father will answer us before our asking.

When life is perfect again.

And we can look into the eyes of Jesus.

The eyes deep with passion, intimacy, and grace, and flaming with love.

I am finding there are no words vivid enough to describe the essence of this hope. Of that joy.

Deeper than yearning. Deeper than passionate.

I don’t even think we will look back on this life.

For we have tasted something so much sweeter.

The air will be deeper. Fruits will taste juicier. Light will be brighter. Energy will be constant. Work will be pleasurable. Colors will be vivid.

Speaking of colors, there will be new colors.

And we will live in a city of gold. Pure gold. Precious stones will be the foundation: jasper and sapphire and more. Pearls will make up the gates.

The Lord will be the light. Brighter than ever.

The water of life, clear as crystal, will flow from the Lord’s throne.

Trees line the river, trees of life.

It’s all so good.

(( Notice how the things we esteem as most precious here on earth are reduced to pavement and walls in Heaven. How much MORE precious will everything else be. ))

When our hearts will never be broken again.

When our eyes will never know tears.

When our bodies will never know sickness.

When families will never know brokenness.

When we will never see darkness again.

No loneliness. No stress. No depression. No anxiety. No insecurity. No doubts.

Friends, get stoked because better things are coming.

And by better things, I mean the KING and His KINGDOM are coming.

Our Savior is coming back to save us.

Our sweet Jesus is coming.

What joy we will have when we see our Lord and Friend face to face.

When we meet our beloved.

When He meets us.

When God finally wins us back. Forever.

THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY, “COME.”   REVELATION 22:17

He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!”

Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!       Revelation 22:20

Let the KING and His KINGDOM come.

And come quickly.

Because our hearts yearn for You.

Because we are utterly desperate for You.

Because we know this isn’t our home.

With much, much, much love. -Melissa
